Instructional Design, Curriculum Development and Visual Design

Allison Selby

The long version

My career has taken an unconventional path — from higher education faculty to corporate instructional designer to senior enablement leader — and I think that’s exactly what makes my work different.

I spent over a decade in higher education teaching information systems, digital media, and instructional design at the undergraduate and graduate level. That grounding in learning science — Bloom’s taxonomy, competency-based design, adult learning theory — is the foundation I bring to every program I build. Most corporate training ignores it. I don’t.

From there, I moved into SaaS and spent nearly 10 years at Collibra, where I built Collibra University from scratch and eventually led GTM revenue enablement. Along the way I ran four LMS migrations, led a global production team, negotiated enterprise vendor contracts, and built programs that were adopted by Google for their own internal enablement.

Lately I’ve been deepening my practice in AI-augmented enablement workflows — using tools like NotebookLM, Gong AI, and Google Gemini to reduce production time and sharpen coaching feedback. That work is documented in the AI-Augmented Work section of this site.

off hours

When not working on the computer, I’m typically out hiking, explaining to my nephew that he really does need more comic books, convincing the general public I have the best dog in the world, her name is Roxy.
